In 2010, I explored some Deism websites that I happened to arrive at while exploring all the different religions, and I've never looked back. I basically have always believed that all religions worship or believe in the same Creator, just in different ways, and Deism is the religion that made the most sense to me without discounting that belief I hold. It is basically the marriage of reason, science, and religion that I had been looking for all along in life. We do not need a religion that fights against science because of a book that was written long ago. What we need is a religion where the goal is to gain knowledge and actively use it to improve our lives and our understanding of God simultaneously. I believe Deism fits that role well, which is why, today, when asked what my religion is, I proudly call myself a Deist.
